Community Grants Application Process

Program Criteria

Recipients will be selected by considering a number of factors, including the following criteria:

  • How well does the project align with the Cox Charities focus areas STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math).

  • The overall community impact of the program and clearly explains what makes this program unique.

  • The ability to define clear metrics for success.

Review Process:

  • Request for up to $12,000 will be considered

  • Applications are reviewed by the Cox Charities Advisory group.

  • Applicants will be notified in the Spring.

To optimize our impact, we generally do not support:

  • Animal welfare

  • Arts & Culture

  • Capital expenditures (i.e. purchase of computers, tablets, etc)

  • Events (i.e. galas, walks/runs)

  • Health & Wellness (i.e. disease prevention, health related missions)

  • Scholarship funds

  • Foundations

  • Specific individuals

  • Labor or fraternal organizations

  • Organizations that discriminate

  • Non 501(c)3 designated organizations

  • Recreational sports teams and clubs

  • Religious or political promotion

  • Travel
